Editorial standards
How we maintain the register.
Useful factory information needs sources, dates, context and a way to correct it. Our assessments are editorial judgements; quotation signals address price alone.
Factory information and sources
Profiles bring together products, business contacts, media and practical factory information. Organizations and physical facilities remain separate records where useful. Sources, review dates and the scope of significant claims are retained.
Dated editorial ratings
Editorial factory assessments require a responsible reviewer, dated supporting evidence and a stated buying context. A public documentation ranking only counts source-linked research fields; it does not rate quality, competitive pricing or reliability. Equal evidence coverage shares a rank, and historical documents remain labelled. Factory performance remains unranked until comparable visits, product testing and commercial evidence have been reviewed.
Not yet rated and review due
A factory without sufficient approved experience is Not yet rated, never assigned zero by default. A rating due for review keeps its original score and date and is labelled accordingly. Changes in people, products or commercial terms can prompt a human review; news and paid relationships do not automatically change scores.
What a factory visit means
A published visit records its date, observer and scope. Seeing a production line at one point in time does not establish every product capability, a future delivery commitment or a certification. Media is attached only to the identified site and approved observation.
Understanding source labels
Observed means directly recorded during a dated observation. Document verified means checked against the document and its scope. Manufacturer stated identifies information supplied by the manufacturer. Trade-data supported refers to identified trade records. Unknown means the published information is insufficient, not that a capability is unavailable.
Quotation comparisons
Low, Fair and High describe a quoted price relative to recent comparable offers in an approved dataset. They do not establish quality, formulation or supplier reliability. Commercial basis, payment terms, dimensions, construction and exact underlay specification matter. Without sufficient supported data, the result is Not enough comparable data.
Preserving the offered specification
Panel thickness already includes the wear layer; attached pad is separate. Unexplained grade names remain exactly as supplied. Flexible dimensions permit a conversation about alternatives; they never change the quotation being checked. No currency, commercial-basis or material conversion is assumed without approved normalization.
Editorial review and corrections
Content moves through draft, technical review and publication. Publication and event dates are distinct. Draft articles and layout demonstrations are clearly marked in this preview. Profile corrections should identify the record and the information to change; the public correction channel is awaiting approved contact details.
Contributors, affiliations and disclosures
Each contribution identifies all authors and their article-specific roles, affiliations and relevant interests. Editorial content, industry contributors and company perspectives are labelled distinctly. Profiles and portraits appear only with approval and public consent; a LinkedIn link is an identity reference, not a verification badge.
Commercial relationships
Published by Fake Flooring. Sourcing and consulting services are provided by Fake Flooring. Current relationships belong on the relevant profile or article. Fees and supplier compensation do not automatically determine ratings or publication decisions.
Private information
Private quotations, personal contacts, internal assessment dossiers and source documents are excluded from public responses and static exports. Public business contacts require permission or a documented public source and a check date. Media requires an identified location and publication permission.
