Tools / SPC packing
SPC packing calculator.
From one plank to a full container. Adjust the product, packing and cargo limits to see what changes.
The product
Enter the finished board size. All inputs use mm and kg.
Cartons & pallets
A uniform pallet, with the same number of cartons in each layer.
The container
Set the actual cargo and handling limits for this shipment.
Adjust the factory assumptions
Every constant is editable. A density value alone does not establish product quality.
Material assumptions
Starting values from the factory model, not a grade or quality rating.
Carton construction
Outer dimensions are plank size plus these allowances. Box weight uses six faces and a fold multiplier.
Pallet construction
One carton along the pallet length; cartons sit side by side across each layer. Include wraps, covers and straps in accessories weight.
Container & handling limits
Use the actual equipment, door clearance and factory-approved stacking limits. Presets are starting values.
How the numbers work
A packing model,
with visible assumptions.
Adapted from a factory SPC calculator. Board weight comes from core density, wear-layer mass and pad weight. Carton tare uses its surface area; pallet dimensions assume side-by-side carton rows.
The floor layout tests rows in two orientations. It does not optimise mixed products or certify stacking strength. Example equipment dimensions and payloads can differ from your actual container.
