A practical starting point
Carry the approved product into the comparison.
A second factory’s similar catalogue item is not automatically a replacement for the product you buy today. Keep the construction, surface, dimensions, pad grade, locking system and sample revision visible. Define whether the alternative is a backup, a new programme or a full transfer. That changes which differences are acceptable and what must be verified before a trial order.

Separate concerns about delivery, communication, construction, documents or commercial terms. Ask each candidate to demonstrate the capability relevant to that concern.
Qualify before transferring an order
Review the sample and current supporting documents, confirm the contracting site and agree a trial and inspection brief. A consultation can help prepare that process; it does not certify an interchangeable product.

Can two factories supply an identical SPC product?
That must be established through the specification, reference identity, sample and relevant evidence. Similar dimensions or an oak visual do not prove identical construction, finish, locking compatibility or performance.
What should I bring to a consultation about alternatives?
Bring the current product sheet, the approved sample references, the reason for the change and the questions that remain open. Arrange any confidential document exchange directly with the team; this site does not accept uploads.
